"KARMVINDA" is a piece of plank that connects the keel to the transom. Due to its' shape it is not possible to bend it into place as with the other planks. Therefore it is hand-crafted out of a larger piece of plank in this case roughly 5x15 inches thick and about 4 feet long...
The craftman-ship is put to the test since the shape is achieved mainly with an axe and it has to be repeated twice so that both sides come out identical. Our master-crafter Marko was able to tackle this process without problems and it looks very nice !!

The shape inside is getting very close to being identical on both sides. The 3rd row of planks is now officially in place. The plank after this is already above the waterline on the transom.
